I was very skeptical when I picked this book. I went in without reading any reviews and deciding by the blurb that it’s worth a try reading it. Blurb of this book in good read intrigued me. See the blurb in below link

It’s a story of 4 women who work in the same company in different department. All 4 are different from each other yet they are good friends. It revolve around a list made by these 4 friends on one drunken night about their idea of Mr. Perfect. As per them Mr.Perfect doesn’t exist and it’s a science fiction. Yet it doesn’t stop them to make a list and laugh at their own innovative character. List becomes viral and these 4 become famous. It’s a romantic suspense/murder mystery book.

I loved the banter between Sam and Jaine( one of the 4 friends). Sam is Jaine’s neighbor whom she calls a Jerk and thinks of him as a drunk bully who turns out to be a grouchy cop. Just loved Sam, he is super combo of everything you look in a book hero. Jaine and Sam make a nice hilarious couple.

The story has been told from multiple point of view and from Jaine’s point in most of the book. Author even gives us a glimpse of villain’s thought. It’s creepy and sometimes I felt sorry for how that character is shaped.

It had been a long time that I had laughed so much. This book made me laugh for a long while. Loved the dialogue delivery. I liked how Jaine calls 1st and 2nd floor employees of her office as computer nerds and geeks. I even liked dialogues written besides elevator everyday by computer nerds. Some i liked are below

It was fun, fast paced, sexy and intriguing all at the same time. And the good part is, this book made me laugh like loony, but the best part is i never guessed or imagined anything like a ending in this book. Its a complete package with comedy, suspense, thriller and romance. This is my first Linda Howard book, looking forward to read few more of her books.
