Too sweet for my taste

This is the third book in the series. It can be read as standalone. This book is about Asher and Izzy.

Izzy’s ex-boyfriend was Asher’s Bother. After she broke up with Jessie (Asher’s brother) eight years ago, Asher and Izzy meet in Vegas and have an whrilwind one night stand. They part ways with bad tone. Now after one year they have come face to face.

Isabella is a nurse in a hospital and losses her job and now searching for new one. Asher is a Rockstar, trying to find his own name in music industry, is now suffering from a Block in his career and struggling to overcome that. Now at this point after one year of Vegas trip they come face to face because of Jesse.

Now a year later, she’s thrust back into Asher’s world when her ex-fiancé Jessie reaches out to her for help. Can she remain neutral and act like nothing happened? This story is full of angst! The push and pull that Izzy does with Asher is too much for me. Feeling what Izzy endures, recognizing her fears, watching her grow as a woman in life and in love, in confusion about love, will have your heart warm. They both love Jesse so much that they don’t want to hurt him.

There’s some mystery/suspense in this story that had lot of potential, but Author made this book as full of romance, which is too sweet for my taste. I loved the twisted mystery/suspense part of the book. Its about Izzy’s birth mother and how and why she abandoned her. That part in the end totally came as a surprise to me.

Some over the top Sweet dialogues

“Home isn’t a place. It’s a feeling. And when I’m with your father, I’m home”.

True love will always come back like a boomerang!

Story and pace of the book goes in a study pace except a big jump near the last 20%. I was more intrigued by Lincon and Chole. Jesse was ok. Izzy’s and Asher’s parents and Asher’s gram was sweet and caring. They showed a picture of normal loving family.

All in all, this is a nice second chance romance read and as author said true love will always come back like a boomerang!

I voluntarily read an ARC of this book in exchange for honest review.
