Review 4

I had been looking forward to Camden and Kathrine Story from the time I met them in hating season series. Glimpses of them in several books were too good. I wanted to see how marriage of convenience turn out between two strong headed people.

Books starts with their marriage anniversary date evening where Camden reminds Kathrine that it’s time to fulfill her end of bargain in their marriage. Kathrine isn’t ready for that. I wanted to see how it turns out.  They have chemistry and pull towards each other but they are stubborn to accept it. When they call a temporary truce, they understand how well they can be together.

We get to see more of both Camden and Kathrine’s background as well as their feelings. We see their trauma, insecurities, difficulties they face, trust issues and all. I totally loved seeing protective and Jealous side of Camden. Kathrine felt like a strong character from outside but somehow, she didn’t live up to my expectation.

The issues they had with each other were surrounded on miscommunication and them being stubborn to not discuss and communicate at all. Once they decided to do that, they could see things clearly. Character development was good individually; however, I personally felt the relationship development between both lagged a bit. Plot highlights both strength & weakness along with lot of emotional spectrum.

Totally loved Whitley in this. Her advice and prescription to Kathrine was remarkable. It was fun watching the entire group again. Writing style is easy to read and plot moved systematically in 5 parts.

All in allif you are a fan of marriage of convenience theme story, then this book is a good one-time entertainer for you.

I volunteered to provide an honest review on an advance copy of this book.
