This book is previously titled Unforgiven, this new version has been edited and new content added to improve the story. I haven’t read unforgiven. This is the Second book of Mason and Jules story. After the cliffhanger from Book One, I was curious to see how this would all play out.
The fragile relationship of Mason and Julia was hanging on the thread after great revelation. Mason takes extreme measures to ensure his relationship stays strong, yet they suffer as his possessiveness to keep Julia safe is overbearing to her. We see how Julia battling with herself and being torn with accepting and letting go. These are two people who love each other and have a strong connection, but life and circumstance are working to destroy them.
Will they be able to find out who is behind the threats? Will Julia be able to forgive Mason and have her HEA which she so badly seeks?
Buried secrets were finally revealed that were never supposed to be known. That being said the suspenseful elements to the plot are what kept me turning pages.
Character & relationship development felt more bookish. Plot moved in steady pace. Narration style had slight up’s and downs. No intriguing secondary characters.
Overall, this duet has plenty of twists, turns, drama, mystery & angst. I would suggest this for Willow Winters fan.
