Title: Brutal Prince
Author: Sophie Lark
My Rating: 🌟🌟🌟3/4
Type: Can be read as standalone
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Mafia romance
Primary Characters: Callum, Aida
Narration: Dual POV
I picked this up based on an entirely random kindle recommendation. I was intrigued with blurb. I enjoyed the banter and bullying on each other more than I thought. Looking at blurb and mafia romance genre I thought of this to be more action packed. It was action packed, but the best highlight of this book is its banter between main protagonist.
Plot starts with Ada being typical teen and intervening in Callum’s family affair to cause some small disruption. One small act on her turns violent in seconds and leads to both families deciding on Aida and Callum’s arranged marriage. I loved watching them pranked and one-upped another at the beginning. Their wits and determination were admirable.
Aida in particular brought all the sass that I felt her character. I loved how both of them are bought together as peers/partners eventually. Aida was definitely the show stopper for this. Relationship development is good. From despising each other and literally almost killing each other at one point to trusting and liking each other is a delightful journey.
Writing style is simple and nice. Narration is awesome and flows perfectly throughout. No intriguing secondary characters. It’s a mild plot with less twists and turns.
Overall, I liked this book, I could not put it down & it was so easy & fun to read. Its good book for simple, time pass entertainment.

He’s No Prince Charming…
Callum Griffin is the heir to the Irish Mafia. He’s ruthless, arrogant, and he wants to kill me.
We got off on the wrong foot when I set a (very small) fire in his house.
Our families believe a marriage pact is the only thing that will prevent all-out warfare.
I think I might need to murder him while he sleeps.
This would all be a lot easier if Callum wasn’t so damned good-looking.
But I’ve got a lockbox around my heart. Because even if I’m forced to marry him…
I could never love a brutal prince.
