Say Yes to the Boss (New York Billionaires #3) by Olivia Hayle

Title: Say Yes to the Boss New York Billionaires #3

Author:  Olivia Hayle

My Rating:  🌟🌟🌟1/2

Type: Can be read as standalone

Genre: Contemporary Romance, Office romance, Marriage of convenience.

Primary Characters: Victoria, Cecilia Myers

 Narration: Dual POV

With me still struggling to pick up heavy books, I was looking for some light entertaining read. Olivia is a new author to me. I picked in random based on kindle recommendations. This is a work place, marriage of convenience story that I found entertaining. This book ticked on all boxes I was looking for. This is good with light entertainment, simple plot and easy narration.

This plot starts the similar way, where Victor has to marry for inheritance. After attempting to find someone through a slew of dates, he proposes a business arrangement with his assistant. He thinks she is organized and reliable, which makes this arrangement perfect. Living together makes them start to see the other in a different light

I liked how it was not an insta love. This was easy to binge, and I stayed connected and engaged the entire time. It was interesting to see that neither one had considered the other a romantic option, and it wasn’t until they got to know each other better that things started changing.

Plot is simple. Narration is good. Writing style is easy. No second intriguing characters. the characters were easy to relate to and I quickly became invested in their journey.

It’s a simple easy read. I would recommend this to people who are looking for one time entertainment read in office romance/ marriage of convenience troupe.

My billionaire boss is the absolute last person I’d marry. Until a deal with the devil forces me down the aisle… ready to say yes to the boss.

I once compared Victor St. Clair to Satan, but that’s unkind. Even the devil treats his demons better than St. Clair treats me. I know his schedule by heart. He can’t remember my first name.

So when he calls me into his office, I’m expecting another rant. Instead he says he needs to get married to inherit the St. Clair fortune. Oh, and the kicker? He wants to marry me. His assistant.

A one-year marriage of convenience to the boss I hate.

It means living with Victor’s dark stares and silences for a full year. But it’s also a chance to quit my job and start my own business. He’s a jerk, but he’s also a respected businessman. How hard can it be?

Answer: very. Because there’s more to Victor than I thought. Things beyond learning his lunch orders and sending company memos. And while the man is cold, his kisses are hot enough to consume us both.

He drove me crazy at work. Now he drives me crazy in bed. But craziest of all is… I might get used to being Mrs. St. Clair.
